Maybe you’ve heard it before - but have you ever really thought about what that means?
From the very beginning, God’s desire was for people to experience life with Him—full of purpose, peace, and connection. But humanity chose to go its own way, thinking we knew better. That decision created a separation between us and God, a brokenness we all experience in different ways.
The Bible calls this separation sin. It’s the choices we make—big or small—that go against God’s best for us. And no matter how hard we try, we can’t fix the brokenness on our own.
The Good News
God wasn’t willing to leave us in that place. Instead, He stepped into our brokenness.
Jesus, God’s Son, came to show us what God is really like. He lived a perfect life, yet He willingly took on the consequences of our sin by dying on a cross. But that wasn’t the end of the story—three days later, He rose from the dead, proving that sin and death don’t have the final say.
Because of Jesus, we don’t have to be stuck in our brokenness. We can trust Him, receive His forgiveness, and experience the life God intended for us all along.
What Does This Mean for You?
No matter your past or where you are right now, God’s love is for you. He’s inviting you into a relationship, not based on rules or religion, but on trust and grace.
Romans 10:9 says, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Following Jesus means choosing to trust Him, believing that His death and resurrection have made a way for you to be made new.
How Can You Respond?
If you’re ready to take a step toward Jesus, you can start by talking to Him:
God, I know I’ve gone my own way and messed things up. I believe that Jesus died and rose again to rescue me. I trust You with my life. Please forgive me and help me follow You from here on out. Amen.
There’s nothing magical about these words—it’s about where your heart is. If you’re choosing to trust Jesus, that’s what matters most.
